Why download from the site and not from Google Play?
Because the app is still under review at Google. The file you download here is the same file
that will land on the store, signed with the same key — so when the store opens, updates reach you normally without removing the app and installing it again.
Android warns me while installing — is that normal?
Yes, normal. Android shows that warning for any file coming from outside the store, whatever its source. You allow it to install from this source and carry on. And if you would rather not — use the “Install the app” above — it installs from the browser with no warning at all.
And if I have an iPhone?
The iPhone build is ready and waiting on the Apple account. Until it lands on the App Store, “Add to Home Screen” gives you an icon and a full-screen app with no browser bar — exactly the same site, in the shape of an app.
Does it take much space?
No. The file is 2.8 MB only — because the app shows you the site itself instead of copying it onto your phone. Which also means any change on the site reaches you instantly, with no app update.
